Up or down, left or right A game for 2 players
You need: dice or spinner marked L 1, L2, L3 and R1, R2, R3;
dice or spinner marked U1, U2, U3, 01, 02 and 03; scissors;
copy of Resource Master 53
o Cut out the duck card and share it.
o Decide who will go first, then take turns.
o Place the cut-out duck on top of another duck, anywhere on the
shaded part of the board, so that both face the same way.
o Throw both dice. If you throw U2 and L1, youslide the duck
2 squares up then 1 square to the left. (D means down,
R means right.)
o If you finish on a square where both ducks are still facing
the same way, put a tick on your scoreboard.
o The winner is the first player to get 5 ticks.
North or south, east or west A game for 2 players
You need: copy of Resource Master 53;
different coloured pencils for each player
o Decide who will go first, then take turns.
o Place the duck card on top of another duck, anywhere on the
shaded part of the board, so that both face the same way.
o Tell your partner how you will slide the duck to capture another
duck facing the same way. You might say, '3 squares north,
then 2 squares east'.
o Now try it and, if you are correct, colour that duck square.
o The winner is the first player to capture 10 ducks.
