THE JEWISH SABBATH - SHABBAT

Jews kept the Sabbath because they were told to by God. Look up the following scriptures
to answer the questions.

The Sabbath begins on Friday at dusk. Sabbath candles are lit, a clean cloth is put on the
table and the father blesses the bread and wine which the family share. When the Sabbath
is over on Saturday evening, the father blesses the wine, the spices, the candle and then

puts the candle out.
