                                          RHYMING WORDS – POEMS TO READ

                                                    Winter And Spring
                                                   But a little while ago
                                            All the ground was white with snow;
                                            Trees and shrubs were dry and bare,
                                                Not a sign of life was there;
                                             Now the buds and leaves are seen.
                                            Now the fields are fresh and green,
                                               Pretty birds are on the wing,
                                               With a cheery song they sing!
                                               There’s new life in everything!
                                              How I love the pleasant spring!
                                                                 Author Unknown

                                                   If I Were An Apple
                                                    If I were an apple
                                                  And grew upon a tree,
                                                   I think I’d fall down
                                                  On a nice boy like me.

                                                   I wouldn’t stay there.
                                                    Giving nobody joy;
                                                   I’d fall down at once,
                                                And say, “Eat me, my boy!”
                                                                Author Unknown

                                                   Grasshopper Green
                                           Grasshopper Green is a comical chap;
                                               He lives on the best of fare.
                                           Bright little trousers, jacket and cap,
                                               These are his summer wear.
                                             Out in the meadow he loves to go,
                                                 Playing away in the sun;
                                          It’s hopperty, skipperty, high and low –
                                                Summer’s the time for fun.
                                                                Author Unknown
