The family of Martha Smith extends our heartfelt thanks for every prayer, every kind word, and every
act of compassion during this season of sorrow. Whether you called, visited, sent something, cooked a
meal, or simply stood with us in silence—your love has been a sustaining force.
Martha’s final days were marked by deep physical hardship following the heartbreaking loss of her
beloved mother, Mother Lula Smith. The weight of that grief affected her profoundly. Though her own
sickness came swiftly and unexpectedly, we take comfort in knowing that mother and daughter are now
reunited in perfect peace.
Martha was a woman of strength and conviction—stern when needed, loving always, and fiercely devoted
to her family. She lived life with clarity, walked with purpose, and inspired us to pursue knowledge,
excellence, and truth.
To the pastors, medical teams, caregivers, friends, and every person who extended themselves to us
during this time—THANK YOU. Your presence has helped us carry what felt unbearable.
As we continue to process this dual loss, please keep our family in your prayers. May we reflect Martha’s
legacy by living boldly, loving deeply, and staying grounded in what matters most.

In accordance with Martha’s wishes, she was cremated, and her ashes will be lovingly
scattered at the resting place of her beloved grandmother—honoring the legacy that
shaped her and the roots that held her.
