Tributes
I am blessed that you are my MOM.
You are one in a million. You are a rare one.
You were always there for me. Whenever things went wrong,
you gave me advice to help me be strong.
Someone I could depend on in everything I did. Thank you for
making Melvin and me sit down after school to do our
homework before going outside to play.
On Saturday mornings during tax season, when Melvin and I
were little, we didn’t want to go because of the cartoons we’d
miss. But the lessons at the Tax Lady’s business were life
lessons—and now we carry them with us.
So again, MOM, thanks for having us, and I just wanted you to
know how much I LOVE YOU.
Thanks for being my mom. You will always be in my heart. I will
see you on the other side.
Love Your Son,
Linell
Momma,
Thank you for always loving and guiding me. You laid the
foundation and gave Linell and me a great example to follow. I
wish you were still here, but I don’t want to see you suffer
again.
The toughest part of my day is knowing I’ll never see the five
letters M-O-M-M-A scroll across my caller ID again. Now I know
why you told Linell and me to be strong—it’s because you knew
one day we would need strength to bear your loss.
You are always in my heart, thoughts, and prayers. Until we
meet again.
Love,
Melvin
Thank you for the laughter and the good times we shared.
Thank you for always listening and for trying to be fair.
Thank you for your comfort when things were going bad,
And for your shoulder to cry on when I was sad.
You were more than just my mother-in-luv—you were my
friend too.
I feel so blessed to have had a mother-in-luv like you.
You know when God looked around His garden and found
an empty place,
He looked down upon Earth and saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you and lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful—He always takes the
best.
He saw the road was getting rough, and the hills were
hard to climb,
So He closed your weary eyelids and whispered,
“Peace be
thine.
”
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone,
For part of us went with you the day God called you home.
Love You So Much,
Your Daughter-In-Luv,
Michelle
I am writing this because my heart is broken, and I am
sending you all my love as we say goodbye. I will
never forget the laughter, the silly arguments, or the
memories we shared as siblings.
Our bond was unbreakable. Rest in peace, my dearest
sister. You will forever be in my heart. Love you forever
and always.
