5.13 International Open Access Week: Community over commercialisation
On 26 October 2023, the LIS hosted a webinar in celebration of Open Access Week on the theme “Community over commercialisation.” This webinar coincided with the 15th anniversary of Open Access Week, and the Unisa LIS 77th anniversary celebration. The Unisa Open Access webinar was attended by international guests from Eswatini, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria and Uganda.

On 2 and 3 November 2023, the Unisa Library Technology Event was held. Several workshops were offered, including how to use LibCal, Microsoft Teams Forms, the Summon discovery tool, how to manage your library events calendar, and how the Library uses Moodle to connect with students.
