Community Engagement CSET Made a signi cant impact on several communities through various community engagement projects : • I-SET approached by DBE for a 1000 schools pilot project on introducing robotics and coding curricula in grades R-9. • Learners Focus Week– Department of Mineral Resources (30 June – 04 July) • Minister Blade Nzimande engaging I-SET on robotics @ NWS Kimberly. •Kabelo Pheeha (ISET) with the Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Mr Buti Manamela at the Ministerial Imbizo 2019. • President Cyril Ramaphosa engaging I-SET on robotics. • DMIE is rmly set within the Unisa’s vision of being the African university in the service of humanity. Here they were in Limpopo changing lives of Vhembe community. • 22 Grade 12 learners and their teachers attended UNISA graduations for the rst time as part of the Maths Edge Community Engagement project by CSET. The aim was to inspire the youth so that they look forward to also graduate one day. 16
