Being a principal was
My Angels! rewarding. But one day, I
was gifted with an unusual
honor.
A group of retired educators
came forward to volunteer
at my school.
They were an irreplaceable
blessing, as I was doing the
work of 9 staff people.
They called themselves the
Avalon Gardens Elementary
School volunteer group also
known as the AGES group.
We are still a close-knit
group to this day!
