THE DEFINITION OF
PROCEDURE TEXT
According to Görlach (1992) procedure text is a type of
text designed to explain how something is done through
sequential steps. A procedure text is a text that
provides instructions to the reader or listener on how
to do something. The purpose of a procedure text is to
give sequential information or directions so that people
can perform an activity in a safe, efficient, and correct
manner (Anderson, M., & Anderson, K. 1997).
