Action Verb and Sequencing Word,
What is “ ACTION VERB?”
Action verbs are verbs that show actions. In a procedure text such as
'How to Make Orange Juice', action verbs are used to tell what needs to
be done
EXAMPLES :
wash = mencuci
cut = memotong
squeeze = memeras
pour = menuang
stir = mengaduk
Try reading and repeating those words while imitating the movements!
What is “SEQUENCING WORD?”
Sequencing words are words that show the order of steps.They are
usually found at the beginning of a sentence in a procedure text.
Light Activity
nvite the students to play a movement-and-reading game!
s in the correct order and avoid mixing them
You read the sentence, and they do the action.
Example:
"First, wash the orange!" → The student pretends to wash an orange
"Next, cut the orange!" → The student pretends to cut
"Then, squeeze it!" → The student pretends to squeeze
"Finally, drink it!" → The student pretends to drink
