3.3 - OSEP Educators Code of Conduct


               OSEP Educators Code of Conduct is a guide in how one behaves in the role. It is designed to
               set a high standard for OSEP in each country. Each recognized OSEP Educator is required to
               familiarize and keep current with the code.


               OSEP Educators hold the following:

                    Values
                       •      Fun and enjoyment in the role
                       •      Proactive, creative, flexible and adaptive in a range of situations
                       •      Maintain a good character acting as a role model to their communities
                       •      A commitment to the continuing maintenance of their own professional
                              development and skills maintenance
                       •      Innovative in their professional practice

                    Team Focus
                       •      Respects the needs and contribution of team members
                       •      Accepts team decisions
                       •      Takes responsibility for their own performance
                       •      Provides support to other team members
                       •      Demonstrates initiative within the team
                       •      Demonstrates a pro-active and enthusiastic approach to work
                       •      Shares relevant knowledge and skills with team members


                    Builds Relationships
                       •      Contributes to achieving shared goals
                       •      Provides high quality service to external and internal customers


                    Fosters Change
                       •      Responds positively to change
                       •      Continuously improves their work processes


                    Problem Solver and Decision Maker
                       •      Makes fair, consistent and equitable decisions
                       •      Work is accurate and there is evidence of attention to detail
                       •      Demonstrates initiative in considering alternative ideas


                    Communicator
                       •      Effectively presents information – both orally and written format
                       •      Accepts and acts on constructive feedback
                       •      Uses a diverse range of presentation skills to promote learning in the Sport
                              Education programs
                       •      Attends and actively participates in scheduled meetings
                       •      Maintains regular dialogue with stakeholders including customers
