The Michigan T een Conference, now in its 20th year, was started by Samaritas to give teens aging out of foster care
a voice and a safe space to gather and network, while learning about career options, ways to take care of their
mental health and other helpful topics. Held every year in June, this year's conference took place at Saginaw Valley
State University and featured motivating speakers and group activities. Each teen takes steps toward confidence,
independence, and leadership after attending this conference. We celebrate these incredible young people and the
community that lifts them up. Here’s to 20 years of impact — and the bright future ahead!
