                                                        BY DAVE MORIN, INTERIM CEO

I’m Dave Morin, interim CEO of Samaritas, a married father of two, a
South Lyon resident, and a devoted Samaritas patron. I credit my wife
and fellow Samaritas Giving Hope Capital Campaign co-chair, Linda
Morin, for exposing me to the Samaritas mission.

As a result, we’ve supported Samaritas in many ways over nearly four
decades, including my work as a Samaritas board member. Before
becoming interim CEO, I served on the Samaritas board for seven
years and spent nearly two years as the board chair. During that time,
I helped the organization solve some of its most significant issues.

As interim CEO, I’ve been pleased to get into the details with key
leaders, employees, and community partners to figure out how we
leverage Stewardship and Innovation to help even more clients. This
collaboration is vital as we take these next steps together.

           Increasing Advocacy Work
While meeting with community leaders and government officials, we’re emphasizing how our most critical programs can lead to healthier
Michigan communities. This more aggressive government affairs strategy can help our legislators better understand how our workers are
compensated, programming gaps, and the complications of housing our clients equitably.

Samaritas is doing God's work and impacting so many lives every day. Being a small part of this process is truly an honor and privilege.
