ADVANCE THE MISSION
Be a Lifeline to Someone in Your Community
The leaves are boasting their beautiful colors and fall is well upon us. Soon the celebration of Christmas will be everywhere.
And, this year, we will hopefully reunite with our family, friends, and fellows in faith. For so many “back to normal” will be
on our Christmas lists!
But, for some, “normal” continues to be the struggle to make ends meet, maintain stability, and plan optimistically for the
future. For the individuals touched by our mission, this time of year can cause heavy burdens. This holiday season, we
invited you to consider the ways you can be a lifeline to vulnerable individuals and families in your community, like…
Kasie, who faces neglect everyday...
She is one of thousands of vulnerable children in Michigan living in at-risk homes
in need of safety, love, and daily support. Our Family Preservation Programs provide
struggling parents with counseling, education, and guidance to support a safe and
supportive environment for children, like Kasie. Through your gift today, you will
provide a lifeline to 600 more families just this year. When necessary, Samaritas
connects vulnerable children with loving foster families. We help more than 800
children every day. Your generosity helps us find and train new foster families to meet
the growing need. YOU provide love and safety to a child.
Abas, who faces violence everyday...
He is one of thousands of refugees throughout the world in need of safety, refuge, and
escape from war and persecution. Within the next 6 to 12 months, Samaritas will
welcome hundreds of refugees due to the ongoing humanitarian crises in Afghanistan
and around the world. We are in desperate need of your support more than ever to help
us in our life-changing work enabling a better life for refugees like, Abas and his family.
Through your gift today, you help new arriving refugees find affordable housing, gain an
education, and employment. YOU provide hope where there was once desperation.
Kyle, who faces neglect everyday...
Kyle is one of thousands of children in Michigan waiting to find their forever family
where they feel loved and secure. Lutheran Adoption Service helps vulnerable children
find life-long loving families. Every child needs love, shelter and guidance, but these
basic necessities are missing for some children, especially those living with abuse and
neglect. Lutheran Adoption Service helps over 300 children annually find a loving
family and have a chance at their best life.
