Thrivent Financial Gives Back in a BIG Way

hrivent Financial went above and beyond expanding their partnership with us.
This year on Giving Tuesday they matched $20,000 in gifts made to Samaritas Easter Blessings
Ttotaling over $47,000 raised in one day! Thrivent members continue to live
generously throughout the year through action teams and many other community and his past March, Thrivent
member events that support Samaritas programs. The ripples of positive change grow community and volunteers

Pillows of Kindness

The people of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Macomb, generously offered Samaritas
thousands of heart-shaped pillows for foster youth, seniors and New Americans. Their
gift symbolizes the big heart they have for sharing the love of God in Jesus Christ.
Similarly, Samaritas helps 16,000 people a year, driven by our mission of serving people
as an expression of the love of Christ. These pillows will assist us in following the call
heard in Jesus’s parable of the Good Samaritan as we are there for people who find
themselves abused and abandoned on the road of life.
