English Speech Contest 2020

During the week of 15 June, Elementary students participated in the annual English Speech Contest.
This event allowed the students to show off their skills that they had learnt in the first of half of the
year. The Speech contest challenged the students to use their writing, analytical, communication and
presentation skills to create a great speech. Throughout the week, the students were taught how to
expand on a topic, organise and write their ideas cohesively and combine it all together to make their
speech a memorable one. With a multitude of great topics used this year, such as having 3 wishes or
discussing their dream job, there was no shortage of interesting speeches. Teachers would video the
students and then carefully judge who the winners were for that class. It was a fantastic effort from all
the students and it made it an unforgettable speech contest.
