2019 English Camp : Habitats
of the World
The topic of the 2019 English Camp was Habitats of the World. Each class chose a habitat to study and learn about
during English Camp week. There were a wide variety of environments to choose from such as jungles, oceans, deserts,
and grasslands, just to name a few. The students had an exciting week learning all about their environment and what
makes it special. They learned about the importance of their environment, where it can be found in the world, what
kind of life it supports, and the unfortunate habitat loss and destruction as well. Each class was also assigned a myOn
reading project which was completed in time to begin English Camp. This was a great opportunity for the students
to read and learn about their environment before camp even started! It was a very useful resource to help students
prepare for the week of English Camp.
On the event day, parents and students had a great time exploring all the different habitats of the world. They got to
complete worksheets, plays games, enjoy VR, and participate in a wide variety of activities as well as arts and crafts.
There were a lot of pictures to be taken along with prizes to be won. This year’s English Camp was a big success and
a lot of fun! Thanks to all the parents that were able to attend and appreciate all the effort that went into this year’s
event.
