monsoon seasons, rainwater is collected in
reservoirs for our usage. Here, the pictures

display the children engaging in a craft activity
where they practiced their fine motor skills and Evie
experienced sensory play (cotton wool has a The children revised vocabulary related to
soft and fluffy texture!) weather such as: windy, snowy, rainy, stormy,
cloudy and sunny. They also took part in
role-play involving music and dance! We had
plenty of opportunity to experience the wind
and air by taking part in a lot of activities. For
example, the children tried to blow a
Ping-Pong ball with a straw to the finishing
line; they played with a parachute, which
involved a lot of listening skills, teamwork and
cooperation; and, we all made paper planes to
see whose was the most aerodynamic and
would travel the furthest.
K-Haneul took a different aspect with this
topic. We explored and investigated different
states of water. We know water is everywhere
around us; seas, oceans, rivers, ponds,
puddles, lakes etc. (we learnt these terms as
part of our vocabulary drills) but is ice
considered water? How does water become ice
and vice versa? We had a fun science
experiment to find out!
