This year Wortwell Short Mat
Bowls Club won the Waveney
League double finishing top of
the league as well as being the
proud winners of the Waveney
League Knock Out Cup.
The photograph was
taken after the cup final which
was the very last meeting be-
fore the corona virus caused
closedown.
It meant we were not able
to get a photograph of all the
players together. Of course, the
presentation dinner is also can-
celled.
A 5-4 away win at Haddis-
coe in their last league match of
the season clinched Wortwell
the Waveney League Champi-
onship title. Broome could have
finished their last match cele-
brating instead, but a damaging
7-2 defeat at Carlton left them
two points behind Wortwell with
the runner-up spot as their only
consolation.
The Waveney Knock-out
Final between Broome and
Wortwell will be played at a date
yet to be determined.
