Lesson 4: Safety First- Be like a Watch Dogg
A.) Be Watchful of Potential Danger
The best way to be safe is to pay attention. Danger can sometimes be deceiving. If we are watchful we can prevent catastrophes. Our senses often warn us when something is wrong.
Just like the Watch Dogg we can use our sensible minds to protect ourselves and others from potential danger.
Scenario: Crash-Dummy Dogg
Cat-dogg was not involved with gang-bangin’ like the other dawgs in his neighborhood, but he was aware of them and the things they did. Cat-dogg knew they wore certain hats. The gang-bangers in his neighborhood often wore orange T-Bone hats. Their rivals, the Bite-down Boys liked to wear purple Dawg-Town hats.
All the doggs were outside that night talking about the Big Dogg show that was coming up on the weekend. It was the place to be to show off your fresh outfits, meet partners, and hang out with your fury friends.
The only problem was the Gangsta-dawgs always showed up and usually started dawg-fights with their rival gangs. But Cat-dogg wasn’t worried because he wasn’t involved with their gang- bangin’. He had gone to the Big Dogg Show last year and didn’t experience any problems.
So Cat-dogg went to the pet store to buy a fresh new hat for the occasion. He saw a bright orange hat that matched his sweater
in the window. It was perfect for the Big Dogg Show. He wasn’t concerned with the orange color because he figured he wasn’t part of any gang. He thought, “nobody’s going to dictate to me what
I can and cannot wear.
