B.) Guns: Toy and Real
Toy guns can be fun and adventurous. Even adults enjoy toy guns like paintball, dart, pellet, and water guns. They can
be harmless if used correctly and in appropriate places, but they can also be dangerous and even deadly if used recklessly without forethought.
If you live in a community where Police Dogs are everywhere and real guns are common, be cautious about where you are, who you’re with, and what the toy gun looks like. Sometimes they are mistaken them for real guns.
If you are with other kids that are known trouble-makers in the neighborhood it can draw negative and suspicious attention.
If you flash a toy gun, or target a person it can lead to hazardous consequences.
Scenario: Toy Guns
Trigger and Caps just received their weekly allowance. They had been saving up to buy pellet guns from the ice cream truck that drives down the street several times a day.
Trigger chose a pistol and Caps picked the automatic riffle type. They were both black with a bright yellow nozzle so one could clearly tell they were toys, so they thought.
The pups were having a great time ducking behind trees trying to out smart each other and shoot the yellow pellets. The pellets stung when they hit their skin and they would laugh and clown each other.
Suddenly a frantic yell came from behind Trigger, “Freeze, drop the gun”! Trigger couldn’t see between the trees and assumed it
