Lesson 10: Top Dogg
A.) Feeling Alone or Isolated
Scenario: One Tragic Day
Top Dogg didn’t always feel like he was at the top. As a puppy he had a tough life. Sometimes he felt deprived, and not as respected as the notorious Gangster Dawgs in the neighborhood. He believed the Gangster Dawgs always had each other’s backs and trusted one another. Top Dogg often felt like he was all alone, with no support team.
Top Dogg began hangin’ out with dawgs he thought would stand by him in his tough community. He viewed them as strong, bonded, and loyal teammates, but in all actuality they were the same wounded doggs he thought he had avoided.
One day he followed his Dawgs into a situation that caused him to loose his freedom for many years. His mere association led him to a hurtful and life-changing journey. Life, as he knew it abruptly came to a halt. He felt isolated, afraid, and ashamed for putting himself and his family through such a treacherous experience.
B.) Don’t Let Your Mistakes Define You!
Scenario: Rise to the Top
Top Dogg was devastated about the choice he had made that day, but he wasn’t going to let it define him. He contemplated why he allowed himself to be put in a position that could possibly throw his life away. After answering his own question Top Dogg vowed to eliminate all negative associations.
