       HON. RANDALL L. BETHANCOURT    The LCLCE is pleased to provide you and the LSBA Board of Governors with a
        IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT

                                      report on the activities of the  Louisiana Center for Law and Civic Education

                                      (LCLCE). As set forth below, the LCLCE continues to promote and support


          BOARD OF DIRECTORS          educational programming in support of the rule of law in a variety of ways.


           W. THOMAS ANGERS           The 2023-24 Board will include the LSBA YLD designee, Danielle Lauren Borel.

         LAWRENCE J. CENTOLA, III
                                      Since our last report on April   11, 2023, the LCLCE finalized plans to present a four-

          HON. SYLVIA R. COOKS        hour CLE at the LSBA Annual Meeting and Joint LSBA/LJC Summer School. There

                                      will be a two-hour judges and lawyers training on conducting Adult Civics Education

                                      programs,  and  a  presentation    by  Louisiana Supreme Court  Chief Justice  John  L.

            BRIAN ENGERON             Weimer, followed by Louisiana Supreme Court Associate Justice Scott J. Crichton’s

                                      program on “Crime, Consequences and the Power of Choice”. There will also be an

                                      in-person  six-day  professional development  program  for teachers  held at  the

                                      be made before the General Assembly at the LSBA’s Annual Meeting in June. Since

                                      our last report,  thirty-five  Lawyers/Judges  in  the  Classroom  presentations were

          HON. JOHN J. MOLAISON         As of May 1, 2023, the LCLCE’s checking account balance was $447,250. Funds to

                                        contributions received through the LSBA’s dues check-off option.
