The 2023/2024 Nominating Committee is charged with nominating individuals for the following
positions:
• President-Elect 2024-2025
(will automatically succeed to presidency in 2025-2026)
The Articles of Incorporation dictate that nominees for this position must have their
preferred mailing addresses in Nominating Committee District 2, which is comprised of
the parishes of Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville,
Jefferson, Lafourche, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St.
John the Baptist, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, Washington, West Baton Rouge and West
Feliciana.
To date, Edward J. Walters of Baton Rouge has advised that he is seeking the nomination.
• Treasurer 2024-2026
The Articles of Incorporation dictate that nominees for this position must have their
preferred mailing addresses in Nominating District 3, which is comprised of parishes of
Acadia, Allen, Avoyelles, Beauregard, Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Calcasieu, Cameron,
Caldwell, Catahoula, Claiborne, Concordia, DeSoto, East Carroll, Evangeline, Franklin,
Grant, Iberia, Jackson, Jefferson Davis, Lafayette, LaSalle, Lincoln, Madison, Morehouse,
Natchitoches, Ouachita, Rapides, Red River, Richland, Sabine, St. Landry, St. Martin, St.
Mary, Tensas, Union, Vermilion, Vernon, Webster, West Carroll and Winn.
To date, the following individuals have advised that they are seeking the nomination:
• C.A. “Hap” Martin III of Monroe
• Edward L. Tarpley, Jr. of Alexandria
There is no other business to come before the Nominating Committee at this time.
