▪ ATJ Staff worked with Board of Directors for the
Louisiana Chapter of the Association of Family and
Conciliatory Courts regarding possible presentation.
▪ Coordinating with the Judicial College and members of
the judiciary regarding upcoming opportunities for
outreach and trainings.
▪ Outreach efforts to the Louisiana Supreme Court
Justices and judges in Concordia East Carroll, West
Carroll, Madison, and Tensas Parishes are underway
regarding the ATJ Commissions Justice for All report
and GIS mapping project.
▪ ATJ Staff is coordinating a presentation at the 3rd Circuit
Judges Association Conference in Natchitoches in
March 2022 that will focus on training judges on SRL-
related issues and other ATJ projects.
▪ ATJ Staff is planning a CLE for judges and lawyers on
the Evictions Moratorium and Diversion Programs in
partnership with legal aid attorneys, district and city
court judges, and LSBA past-president Barry Grodsky.
o Host biannual Pro Bono Summit
Annualized meeting through Pro Bono track planned for 2019
LJCC and 2020 LJCC.
o Create materials and trainings to educate judges and judicial
staff
▪ January 2020 event conducted in conjunction with LDJA
to educate judges (mainly in SELA) about ATJ
Commission work that may support their courts.
▪ Assisted with the creation and dissemination of a bench
card and trainings on evictions laws under the CARES
Act for District Court Judges, City Court Judges, and
Justices of the Peace.
▪ Creating materials using the JFA GIS data and map,
including maps of Louisiana that display varying levels
of poverty within civil legal resource deserts, as well as
the Louisiana Supreme Court districts.
▪ Coordinating with members of the judiciary and the
Judicial College regarding upcoming training
opportunities, including planning an upcoming Evictions
training.
▪ Creating guides and best practices regarding remote
hearings.
