TREASURER Dear Ms. Mire,
LORETTA LARSEN The LCLCE is pleased to provide you and the LSBA Board of Governors with a report

In compliance with Governor Edwards’ March 12, 2020 proclamation on COVID-19
BOARD OF DIRECTORS social distancing, the LCLCE has temporarily ceased organizing in-person programs
and is focusing on virtual events. Plans are underway for a two-day teachers’

on public access.
HON. SYLVIA R. COOKS
The LCLCE is updating the Judges/Lawyers in the Classroom manual. This is a 200-
HON. SCOTT J. CRICHTON

BRIAN ENGERON
When finished, it will be an invaluable resource for the Lawyers/Judges in the
VAL P. EXNICIOS Classroom volunteers. The LCLCE Policy and Procedures manual also received an
ALLISON C. FOSTER update. The LCLCE continues its work on its database of attorneys and teachers and on
on the Louisiana Commission on Civic Education’s civics education events calendar.
C. KEVIN HAYES
In September, the LCLCE Director participated in zoom meetings with the Louisiana
REP. FRANK A. HOFFMANN Council for the Social Studies and the Center for Civic Education. Multiple updates
JEFFREY D. HUFFT were made to the LCLCE’s website, which included posting the names of 72 attorneys’
and judges’ who have donated funds through the LSBA’s dues check-off option.
HON. C. WENDELL MANNING
BETTY ANN MAURY As of September 30, 2020, the LCLCE checking account balance was $277,205.18.
