                                  The Louisiana Center for Law and Civic Education (LCLCE) is pleased to provide you

                                  and the Louisiana State Bar Association’s (LSBA) Board of Governors with a report on

                                  the activities of the LCLCE. As set forth below, the LCLCE continues to promote and

                                  The  LCLCE’s  Judges/Lawyer      in  the  Classroom  program  supports  Chief  Justice

                                  Weimer’s  “Judges  Imparting     Knowledge,  Education  &  Skills  Task  Force,”  initiative

        HON. SYLVIA R. COOKS      which  encourages  every  judge  in  the  state  to  make  an  in-person  presentation.  The


        HON. SCOTT J. CRICHTON    LCLCE serves as the conduit between educators and volunteer judges and organizes the

                                  presentations.  Since  our  last  report,  the  LCLCE’s  Lawyers/Judges  in  the  Classroom

          BRIAN ENGERON           program organized 34 in-school presentations, impacting 2041 students.

         ALLISON C. FOSTER

                                  Multiple  nominations  were  received  for  the  Judge  Benjamin  Jones  Judges  in  the

          C. KEVIN HAYES          Classroom Award. They are currently under review by the Judge Benjamin Jones Judges


          JEFFREY D. HUFFT        in the Classroom Award Committee. The award presentation will be made before the

                                  House of Delegates at the LSBA Annual Meeting in Destin.
