     HON. RANDALL L. BETHANCOURT

       IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT   The LCLCE is pleased to provide you and the LSBA Board of Governors with a report on

                                  the activities of the Louisiana Center for Law and Civic Education (LCLCE). As set forth

                                  below, the LCLCE continues to promote and support educational programming in support of


        BOARD OF DIRECTORS        the rule of law in a variety of ways.


         W. THOMAS ANGERS         During the first quarter of 2024, the LCLCE’s Board of Directors elected Scott L. Sternberg

         DANIELLE L. BOREL        to  serve  as  President  of  the  LC  LCE  for  the  2024-25  fiscal  year.  The  election  of  Mr.

                                  Sternberg  to  serve  as  President  created  a  vacancy  at  Treasurer  and  Jeffrey  D.  Hufft  was

       LAWRENCE J. CENTOLA, III   elected to assume the role of Treasurer for the 2024-25 fiscal year.

        HON. SYLVIA R. COOKS

                                  The  LCLCE  organized  Judges/Lawyers  in  the  Classroom  presentations  benefiting  900

        HON. SCOTT J. CRICHTON    students.  The  LCLCE  Executive  Director  participated  in  the  four-hour  Louisiana  Bar

          BRIAN ENGERON           Foundation Grantee Board & Staff   Training and began the organization of the six-day Justice

                                  Catherine  D.  Kimball  Summer  Institute,  which  will  provide  36  hours  of  professional

                                  program is available at no cost to participating teachers.

          JEFFREY D. HUFFT        In March, the Executive Director attended the 2024 We the People: Civics that Empowers

                                  All Students Annual Coordinator and Mentor Workshop. This is a three-day seminar held in

                                  Washington D.C. The LCLCE      hosted  an exhibition  table  at  the  Louisiana School  Boards

          RYAN M. MCCABE          Annual  Conference in Baton Rouge. The Executive Director was a guest presenter at the

                                  Louisiana Library Association’s 2024 Conference in Shreveport.

           RONNIE SLONE           As of March 31, 2024, the LCLCE’s checking account balance was $467,610.69. Funds to

                                  assist with operational expenses were received and deposited from the LSBA, Louisiana Bar
