Class Project: 2022-23

The 2022-23 Leadership LSBA Class organized a mock hearing that explores the Basics of
Practicing Law in the area of personal injury. The mock hearing addressed elements of discovery
practice and presented an overview of summary judgment.

The goal of the project was to provide law students with a realistic understanding of what happens
in a personal injury matter, upon the filing of a motion for summary judgment, and concentrated
on the practice skills necessary to defend this type of action beyond law school.
