organizations, and is designed to provide 16 CLE hours on topics relevant to representing low-
income and vulnerable populations in Louisiana. In addition to the 16 hours of CLE sessions
offered, the conference featured the Child In Need of Care Pre-Conference, the Civil Legal Aid
Awards, LIFT Rural Justice Legal Incubator Recognition Ceremony, and a Networking Reception.
LSBA President Shayna L. Sonnier delivered welcome remarks with Louisiana Bar Foundation
President Deidre D. Robert. Justice Piper D. Griffin delivered the keynote address followed by an
exceptional CLE on civility and professionalism for public interest lawyers. This was the first year
returning to an in-person event after being virtual since the pandemic in 2020. Thank you to our
speakers and attendees for making the live event successful. Below are a few highlights:
