The 2022/2023 Nominating Committee is charged with nominating individuals for the following
positions:
• President-Elect 2023-2024
(will automatically succeed to presidency in 2024-2025)
The Articles of Incorporation dictate that nominees for the position of President-Elect have
their primary addresses in Nominating District 1, which is comprised of parishes of
Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard and St. Tammany.

The following individual has advised that he is seeking the nomination:
▪ Patrick A. Talley, Jr., Orleans Parish (New Orleans)

• Secretary 2023-2025
The Articles of Incorporation dictate that nominees for the position of Secretary have their
primary addresses in Nominating Committee District 2, which is comprised of the parishes
of Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Jefferson,
Lafourche, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John the
Baptist, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, Washington, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana.

The following individuals have advised that they are seeking the nomination:

▪ Valerie T. Schexnayder, East Baton Rouge Parish (Baton Rouge)
