1. Statistics on Number of Individuals Assisted and Type of Assistance

• 115 individuals* assisted in March, April, and May 2022

Type of assistance:

• 88 - ongoing case management
• 2 - Information given about services and/or community resources
• 9 - referred for individual therapy
• 14 - referred for an evaluation
• 2 - called from treatment
• 0 - referred straight to monitoring

Approximately 12 of these cases are straight Mental Health cases, 92 are comorbid (include
both Mental Health and Substance Use components) and 11 are pending.

* = Overall numbers are lower due to COVID-19 pandemic.

2. Speaking Engagements of JLAP Staff Members and Associated Costs

• Dr. Angela White-Bazile presented virtually for the Office of Workers’ Compensation in
March 2022.

• Dr. Angela White-Bazile presented at the 2022 Louisiana Judicial Council/National Bar
Association Conference in Baton Rouge in March 2022. Expenses: $355.88
mileage/hotel.

• Dr. Angela White-Bazile participated in the 1L Character and Fitness Panels at both
Southern University Law Center and LSU Law Center in March 2022. Expenses:
$98.28/mileage.

• Dr. Angela White-Bazile presented at the Caddo Parish’s Public Defender’s Office in
Shreveport in March 2022. Expenses: $851.48 mileage/hotel/food.

• Dr. Angela White-Bazile participated in the 1L Character and Fitness Panel at Tulane
University School of Law in March 2022. Expenses: $39.31/mileage.
