             I am happy to report that the Professional Programs Department continues to operate smoothly.
             The purpose of this report is to provide the Board with some departmental highlights.

             COMMITTEE ON THE PROFESSION

             Professionalism Speakers’ Workshop
             The Professionalism Speakers’ Workshop was held on September 26, 2024.  This Workshop is
             conducted yearly free of charge to train speakers on the topic of professionalism.

             PRACTICE ASSISTANCE AND IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM

             Lawyer Advertising Workshop CLE
             The Lawyer Advertising Workshop was held on September 24, 2024 at the Bar Center.  This is a
             2 hour C.L.E focused on the Rules of Professional Conduct dealing with advertising and is open to
             the membership.  The fee is $25.00.

             Lawyer Advertising School
             The Lawyer Advertising School will be held on October 21, 2024 at the Bar Center.  This is diversion
             component.  This is a 2 hour program offered to attorney referrals from the Office of Disciplinary
             Counsel who have had disciplinary complaints involving minor violations of the advertising rules.
             The fee is $50.00.

             Stress Management Workshop CLE

             The 8  Stress Management Workshop will be held on October 17, 2024.  This 3 hour program is
             taught by the Director of JLAP and is designed to assist lawyers in dealing with the stress associated
             with the practice of law.  There is no fee for this program.

             Trust Accounting School

             The 35  LSBA Trust Accounting School will be held on November 13  at the Bar Center.  This is
             a three hour program offered to attorney referrals from the Office of Disciplinary Counsel who had
             disciplinary complaints involving their trust account.  The fee is $100.00.  The course teaches the
             attorneys both the ethical rules involving trust accounting as well as practical demonstrations on how
             to keep, maintain, and balance an attorney trust account.  It is designed to compliment and exceed
             what is taught at the LSBA Ethics School.
