▪ The Department maintains records on specialty bar
programming and activities;
▪ The department encourages local and specialty bar
associations to provide an agenda/program related to
activities or events that the LSBA regularly attends and/or
sponsors. The agenda/program is stored internally.
▪ LSBA assists organizations with web development by
partnering with a web development company.
▪ The Member Outreach and Diversity Department
assisted with relaunching the website for the Southwest
Louisiana Bar Association, Louis A. Martinet Legal
Society, Inc. Baton Rouge Chapter and the Louis A.
Martinet Legal Society, Inc. Southwest Louisiana/Lake
Charles Chapter.
▪ Maintain presence at events across state including red masses and
bench-bar conferences;
The Member Outreach and Diversity Department maintains an
ongoing presence at statewide events. The LSBA President joins the
department at these events whenever possible. The activities of local
and specialty bar events are placed on a calendar of events located on
the LSBA website on the Member Outreach webpage.
o Offer LSBA ID cards at these events
The Member Outreach and Diversity Department provides
LSBA ID cards at events throughout the state.
▪ Continue regional outreach;
o Implement annual meeting with minority bar leadership to
support their organizations
A meeting for specialty bar leadership is held annually.
o Identify existing LSBA conferences which can be duplicated in
less served areas of state
o Encourage use of member outreach CLE PowerPoint to
expand member knowledge of LSBA services
▪ An eblast advertising the availability of the CLE
presentation the “LSBA: Who We Are and How We
Serve Our Members” is sent annually to local and
specialty bar associations. Statewide CLE programming
is ongoing.
▪ A Member Outreach Flyer highlighting member benefits
was created for distribution at events in which the LSBA
has a presence.
▪ Continue utilizing publications and social media to facilitate member
outreach;
