The LSBA Committee on Diversity in the Legal Profession approved the
recommendations listed below under “Awards Background” on November
13, 2015. The Board of Governors approved the recommendations for the
Louisiana State Bar Association Chief Justice Bernette Joshua Johnson
Tr ailblazer Award and Louisiana State Bar Association Guardian of
Diversity Award on January 15, 2016.
Diversity Committee’s Awards Subcommittee Recommendation(s):
The Awards subcommittee met on March 16, 2023. The Diversity Committee
approved the recommendation on March 31, 2023.
