Expert Institute
I would like to recommend the LSBA Board of Governors consider
offering the LSBA membership the benefits that can be provided with a
business relationship with The Expert Institute. The Expert Institute is a
legal-tech platform that connects attorneys with expert witnesses for
complex litigation matters.
The goal of this legal-tech platform is to provide a comprehensive and
encompassing range of expert witness solutions to firms that extend
beyond their personal network.
The Expert Institute works with both plaintiff and defense law firms
covering all practice areas: medical malpractice, personal injury, mass
tort, product liability, commercial litigation, securities, and many other
areas. They have the functionality to locate, vet and screen experts within
3-5 days.
Core service offerings: expert witness searches and referrals; phone
consultations with subject matter experts; and Daubert/Frye challenge
studies on opposing experts.
The proposed benefit is that LSBA members would receive a 10%
discount on all witness searches through the platform.
The LSBA will receive a 2.0% revenue share on each transactional expert
search. Expert searches start at $2,500 each. The LSBA will receive the
revenue share 180 days after the initial transaction. The term of the initial
agreement will be approximately six months.
