Abstract
The evolution of digital libraries is the result of an innovation movement that gives them a
specific dynamic and produces two main effects: empower users and increase digital inclusion.
Rapid adoption of digital libraries by people in isolation at home, prompted by the COVID-19
pandemic, has accelerated the digital transformation and will reshape the digital library
services.
