AV Fair and Event Center Exhibit Entry Guide 2020
1. Hog must be fed USDA Certified Organic Feed from the time exhibitor has owned the animal until Auction Day. It should take approximately 10 – 12 bags for each hog, if they bought the hog at 50 lbs.
2. Does not need to be a Heritage Hog, can be regular Market Hog. Exhibitor must follow Rule #1 with any Hog.
3. Exhibitor must bring receipts showing purchase of USDA Certified Organic Feed to Entry Office by August 22, 5:00pm.
4. No wormers, medications, or conventional supplements allowed.
5. ORGANIC FED HOG, CANNOT BE CERTIFIED ORGANIC
Current USDA Certified Organic Guidelines include: • Avoidance of synthetic chemical inputs.
• No fertilizers and pesticides.
• No use of antibiotics and food additives.
• No genetically modified organisms (GMOs).

1. Organic Fed Hog 200-280lbs.
PEE WEE SHOW
MUST SIGN UP IN LIVESTOCK OFFICE by August 22nd at 5:00pm
These events are open to all youth ages 5 to 8 as of December 31, 2019, and not entered as an exhibitor in the AV Fair Livestock Show. Youth need not own the animal. They may use Market Goats and Market Lambs on the Fairgrounds. Animals may not be brought in for this event. This is a non-exhibit event. A signed Release of Liability Agreement will be required before any Pee Wee showman may enter the ring for this division. Available in the Entry Office 661-948-6060 ext. 226 or 123.
Only Market Goats or Market Lambs may be shown.

POULTRY SHOWMANSHIP WILL BE A KNOWLEDGE BASED QUIZ FOR 2020 on August 18th at 5:00pm Due to all Poultry Shows being canceled in Southern California
Only animals owned and fitted by the exhibitor in the Junior Livestock Classes, or required to be shown in a Senior Department Class under the provision of State Rule VII #14 a, b and #26 a, b, c, d are eligible.
(4-H Novices in these events have never shown any animal in Fair competition, Grange Novices in these events have never shown any animal in any competition, (which includes small animal, dog and horse projects).
Exhibitors shall be on hand and ready to exhibit at the time called for judging.
Note: All exhibitors are required to wear the official show uniform of the organization they represent. Girls may wear slacks instead of skirts.
