unless under or over weight. Only animals SHOWN by exhibitor in the Junior Auction Market Class will be allowed to show in
showmanship.
2. Junior exhibitors are expected to groom and care for their animal(s) while preparing for their show at the fair. They shall NOT
accept active assistance from adults and non-exhibiting youth unless the junior exhibitor is actively engaged and a current AV Fair Large Livestock exhibitor, and the assistance is only for instruction. The junior exhibitor (owner) MUST be there. State Rule VII #31
3. All entries in Showmanship MUST be entered by the exhibit deadline; exhibitors CANNOT enter the day of the show.
4. During the judging and placing, exhibitors are urged to remain alert at all times to qualify for showmanship points.
5. Poultry or Birds used for showmanship must have been shown at the Antelope Valley Fair in current year, in a standard breed
or utility laying class. If a meat pen bird is to be used, the exhibitor must notify the Livestock Office and/or Barn Chair(s) that
they will be leaving birds for the showmanship class so that arrangements can be made for a pen/cage to be available.
6. Rabbit showmanship exhibitors are to remain in area until showmanship is completed.
7. Rabbit Showmanship to be held same day as Open Show.
8. Rabbit used for showmanship must be entered in Open Rabbit show.
9. Dog used for showmanship must be entered in Dog Obedience.
*Order of Classes: ADVANCED FOLLOWED BY NOVICE (FFA) and SENIORS SHOW FIRST, FOLLOWED BY JUNIOR THEN NOVICE (4-H, GRANGE, INDEPENDENT)
