were recently honored for their sacrifices and contributions
to the mission with a special event here Oct. 24.
The United Service Organization of Las Vegas, along with
various agencies around Creech Air Force Base, Nevada —
to include the chaplain corps, Creech Human Performance
Team, and the Airman and Family Readiness Center —
partnered together to create Creech CARES.
“We focus on sending a positive message about the cul-
ture and community of Creech AFB as it relates to care of
families, specifically spouses,’’ said Maj. Mark Williams,
432nd Wing/432nd Air Expeditionary Wing chaplain “We
capitalize on the location and attractions of Las Vegas and
work with the USO to provide opportunities that model
excellence.”
The Creech CARES initiative gives families a way to
interact with each other through events like the “Spoil Our
Spouses” event. Although the group is new, there are plans
to host events every month not only to show appreciation but
also to give families social interaction with others — which
is sometimes difficult due to Creech’s remote location.
“Spoil the Spouse events are recurring, monthly, fun, and
appealing events with several objectives,” said Williams.
