Sergeant Tedesco ensures the Barry M. Goldwater Range has all the resources it needs to train 20 different joint units each year. He is the proud dad to nine children and is a highly respected, knowledgeable, and self-motivated Airman. His leaders have said while he is an expert contracting official, his real calling is leading Airmen by mentoring uniformed and civilian Airmen. Sergeant Tedesco also was awarded the Air Force Ground Safety Well Done Award at Air Force level.

56th Operations Support Squadron —Air traffic controller
Airman Augustine provides command and control to the 100 daily flights in and out of Luke Air Force Base while keeping lines of communication open with the FAA and civilian aircraft as well. He is vital to ensuring the safety of our Airmen and other pilots operating around Luke. In the year and a half he has been at Luke, he has completed his Community College of the Air Force degree and already has a bachelor’s degree. He plans to begin working on a master’s by 2019 after completing his watch supervisor upgrade next year.
