RECALIBRATE ROADMAP
MAP IT OUT | 16 PRACTICAL ASSIGNMENTS
Tip: Use the Recalibrate Journal as a way to take notes on all lessons and keep track of all your assignments.
PHASE 1: RESET YOURSELF
† Start with a journal entry where you honestly answer this question: “What is God birthing deep down in your soul?” Get away for a day or two. Wrestle with this question. Re ect with your spouse or mentors.
† Sit down with your team and in uencers and ask this question, “What makes you cringe?” This is a dangerous question. Make sure and listen honestly. Record your  ndings in your Recalibrate Journal.
† Review the Reset Questions. Select three to  ve of them and discuss these with your board, sta , and in uencers in your church. Summarize their observations in the Recalibrate Journal
† Do a 70-point assessment of your Sunday service. Select  ve key people and have them each do this individually. Then compare and talk about your answers together as a Team.
PHASE 2: THINK MISSION CRITICAL
† Discuss with your team and in uencers the “4 Quadrants of Change”.
• What are some Q1 changes you can do in the next 30 days?
• What are some Q2 changes that your organizations?
• What are some Q3 and Q4 changes your organization can put on the back burner?
† Journal Entry. Get alone and answer this question. How would your church or organization de ne “High Impact” or “Mission Critical”? Discuss your re ections with your in uencers and team.
† Get together with your in uencers and team and ask this question. “What are the beliefs and behaviors of our church or organization that are limiting our kingdom impact?” Record these in your Recalibrate Journal.
† Journal Entry. Ask this question, “What are some ways to free up ‘bandwidth and budget’ to focus on mission-critical elements of our church?” Develop
a list of 5-7 ways to free up bandwidth and budget. Record these in your Recalibrate Journal.
