        Email Service Updates
The IS department is working on some significant changes to the way we work, the first phase of this project focused on an update to our Exchange Email solution.
We are going Cloud!

Efficient: Microsoft take care of all system updates and patching so that the service is always up to date and running smoothly. Support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to minimise issues and disruptions. This frees up SHS IS resources to focus on proactive business projects.
Future benefits: In the future new more flexible ways of accessing email will become available, alongside exciting new features
IS UPDATE

Once completed this will deliver one address book/calendar sharing across SHS Group and the foundations for a full Office 365 Rollout.

Group IS having completed the migration of all SHS Core users (over 36 million individual emails
on a single email solution with shared calendaring and employee look-up.
Reliable: As a cloud-based service, Microsoft Exchange Online email is hosted on multiple servers that support multiple customers simultaneously. Overall the service provides a guaranteed 99.9% uptime. In addition we have procured a complimentary cloud backup and recovery solution to ensure that email data is never lost.
