The stars above, they call me name
And their voices sound so close
They tell me to unchain what’s tame
For not a soul would morn my loss

They tell me that I'll smile again
They tell me that they'll take my blues
They tell me I have much to gain
And nothing at all to lose

They're so bright and seem so joyous
who am I to turn them down ?
As they're chanting at me "join us"
I feel so secure and found

I'll lose my mind a little more
I'll lose a life I never liked
I'll lose the pain I had before
I'll lose the tears I never wiped

And thus, the man that I once was
Sat at the end of the day
Raised his gaze up to the stars
And watched his own star fade away
