ten-day quarantine 100 little stories were told.

In fact, the name Decameron comes from Greek and es-

sentially means "ten days' work", but here ends the simi-
larity, as the hundred stories of the Decameron are all fan-

tastic stories that have nothing to do with the plague that
was raging in Florence at the time.

The Author of the Modern Decameron on the other hand-

focuses all her narratives on the Coronavirus, tells made-
up moving stories, realistic stories that could very well be

mistaken for events that actually happened; and two of her
stories did in fact occur. These stories, written in a simple

and lively way, are permeated with ethics, morality, gener-

osity, love and altruism and their reading is recommended
for all ages.
