Came squeaks and chirps and flutters of agreement from
the class.
But one dark night, Baby Bear came stomping through
the village. “Waaaaaaa!!!!” she bellowed, “I’m terribly
hungry!!!!!”
Then she looked up, and saw the fat, juicy PEAR on the
squiggly branch. She jumped up, missed, and landed
heavily on her BOTTOM! BUMP!!!
The whole village was stirring, they had been startled
wide awake by all the noise. Mrs. Mouse put on her
glasses and scuttled outside.
“Oh my goodness!!!” squealed Timothy Duckling, “there
is a bear beside our school, and it’s crying! Mrs. Mouse,
come quick!!!”
