SWAT TEAM we sense is not from the local police.
Suddenly it skids to a stop to avoid a YOUNG MOTHER
IN A MINI VAN exiting her driveway with a cell phone to
her ear. Oblivious to the annoyed, intense stares of the
Hummer's occupants, she speeds off as the Hummer
HONKS a powerful blast, then continues along the quiet
neighborhood of one-story houses, neatly landscaped.

appears, along with a hammer and nail.
BUD MULLIGAN'S HOUSE - DAY.
BUD a long-distance truck driver/owner with a fit
boxer's body and perpetually jovial expression, is
hammering the last birthday balloons onto his entrance
way in an elaborate display. He steps back, admires the
handiwork, grabs the step stool and enters the house,
slamming the door behind.
