we acknowledge receipt of your recent separate correspondence on behalf of your respective clients, Bill Richert & Kyle Monis. You each requested that the Guild conduct another arbitration of the credits for 'The American president.,,
We believe that the Guild's system of writers determining writing credits has worked. your ctients' positions were carefully considered at all three stagel of th! process - in the pre-arbitration hearing, in the arbitration committee's analysis of thJ written material and in greir aplear before the Policy Review Board. The arbiters received and analyzed all of the story and screenplay materials sequenced in chronological order. Aaron Sorkinis access to the earlier materialwas presumed as set forth in the Screen Credits Manual. An arbitration committee of screenwriters concluded that screen authorship of 'The American Presidenf' should be 'Written by Aaron
credit determination process.
This credit determination must be considered final as of the date of the Review Board,s decision on October 3, 1995.

How can the committee possibly analyze material they were never given?
The entire process was bogus.
