slamming the door behind.
CLOSE ON THE BUD’S DIAGONAL HOUSE NUMBER:
"336" - as the door SLAMS, the "6" is knocked out of its
loose tiny upper nail and flips down so the address is
changed to "339"
IN THE HUMMER.
The ski-masked Leader looks up from his map, slams the
dash and points to the house numbered which is now
numbered "339."
IN THE BEDROOM - MAJOR FAULKNER'S OFF-BASE
HOUSE - DAY
The room's a shambles. Major Faulkner, now dressed in
civilian clothes, is making a hasty departure, stuffing
papers into a briefcase.
Hearing the Hummer, he hesitates, goes to the window,
and carefully lifts one slat of the Venetian blinds.
The Hummer has stopped in front of the nearly identical
house up the street.
The Swat Team, with phony POLICE emblems on their
bullet- proof vests, dismount and charge across his
neighbor's well-cut lawn.
MAJOR FAULKNER: Drops the slat in panic.
IN BUD MULLIGAN'S HOUSE - DAY
BUD is setting up decorations in the over-furnished living
room. HAPPY BIRTHDAY is spelled out over the fireplace
on strings of alphabet letters, which Bud is duct-taping to
the wall of family photos.
