father's old shotguns, the wind of the blades whip- ping 

her dress. She aims the gun up at the helicopter.



AMANDA: (screams) LET HIM GO!



Ducking and rushing at her from behind, the M.P.'s from 

the second Jeep tackle Amanda. Prepp to the ground 

while she kicks at them and the helicopter scuds off into 


the night sky.



NIGHT SKY OVER PENNSYLVANIA - HIGH ALTITUDE

appears GENERAL BIF YEAGER'S F-14 Tomcat.

He seems to be taking in the darkening sky like an 


astronomer when abruptly his eyes drop to a rapidly mov- 

ing digital needle on his flight console.

Langley Air Force Base and then kicked on to Briggs 


Marine Headquarters in Virginia. We don't know what 

the hell's going on.
